What is this badge about?

Explore options, prepare and practice, learn the gear, and try a winter slope sport while staying safe.

Our Summary* of Requirements:

  1. Explore both the snow and climb options and decide which one.
  2. Find out how to prepare for a trip (research OR talk to an expert).
  3. Learn what gear you need and what it’s for.
  4. Prepare and stay safe (do yoga regularly for two weeks, speak to an expert, OR do visualization training).
  5. Go snowboarding or downhill skiing and have fun (take video, use skills learned in a class, OR write in journal about it).

NOTE: This badge can be earned twice. Some will put both on the uniform with the snow adventure image on top when they earn the badge doing the snow activities, and the climbing adventure image on top when they earn the badge doing the climb activities.
