| Put together a water treatment kit for your family kit—include unscented liquid bleach, coffee filters or cheese cloth, liquid oxygen, or purification tablets | You home should have one main pipe that brings all the water into your home. When the water utilities are unavailable during an emergency, you need to turn that main water valve off to avoid issues when the water is restored. With a parent, find the water main for your home.
