Info Needed for Badge Requirements: Scouts take a trip to explore and observe bugs in their natural environment.

Items Needed:

• Device with internet access
• Paper and pencil for notes or drawings
• Optional: printed note sheet with prompts

Instructions (Total Time: 30–35 minutes):

1. Watch Bug Videos (15–35 minutes)
   • Scouts choose and watch a virtual bug field trip video
   • Suggested options:
     • Victoria Bug Zoo Virtual Tour
     • Cincinnati Zoo – World of the Insect
     • Bohart Museum of Entomology Virtual Tour
2. Take Notes (10–12 minutes)
   • Scouts write down:
     • What bugs they saw and where those bugs are found
     • One fun fact about each bug
     • Which bug seemed the strangest
     • Which bug they would want to hold and which one they wouldn’t
3. Share and Reflect (5–6 minutes)
   • Scouts share their favorite bug from the videos
   • Optional: draw one bug and write a short sentence about it
