Released in 2019 but is considered part of the 2011 Girl’s Guide. The Senior page has information on when all badges were released.
What is this badge about?
Share one things with others after finding several different types of objects in the sky, learning about elements, determining the distances of objects in the Universe, and exploring either technology that makes telescopes or pointillism.

Our Summary* of requirements:
- Learn about how everything is made from elements, including yourself, in one activity (make an infographic with an outline of a person and an interior of the different elements that make a human body, OR research how eyes see light and how your pupils adapt) OR play the Supernovae Card game in the GSUSA booklet.
- Find several different types of objects in the sky (The Moon, A planet, A star with an exoplanet, A double star, A nebula, A star cluster of ordinary stars, A red star, A blue star) OR explore what happens when stars live and die with one activity (Sorting the Supernovae Cards as described in the booklet to understand complex systems by highlighting similarities and differences between items OR comparing the lifecycles of stars and humans to share with friends or family using the list in the GSUSA booklet)
- Explore the technology that makes telescopes (pinhole light experiment, OR bean and lentil in circles experiment) OR Create a pointillism image to learn how small dots can create a larger image.
- Learn how scientists determine the distances of objects in the Universe with one activity (measure brightness with “standard candles”, join a NASA citizen scientist project, OR create a “Stellar parallax” model).
- Choose one topic to share with others (host a cosmic lifecycle performance, practice astrophotography and share the photos, OR help others understand about telescope technology with visual art).
