What is this badge about?

Learn good and bad online communication and social media etiquette.

Choose your own activities!

Our Summary* of requirements:

  1. Explore the good and bad online moments (spend 30 minutes discussing with peers, interview someone that emails a lot, OR read two good and two bad published stories of online communication).
  2. Realize that words can hurt (analyze your last 15 text messages, interview an emotional health expert, OR practice daily online kindness for two weeks).
  3. Analyze online communication (get 5 businesspeople to take the GSUSA E-Mail Etiquette Quiz, find five useful and five not-so-great online comments, OR poll gamers about online sportsmanship).
  4. Learn what makes a good social media profile (create a dos and don’ts list, get feedback on your own profile, OR read three stories about profiles).
  5. Practice netiquette (make and sign a netiquette pledge, create a top 10 rule list for netiquette, OR make a presentation about what you learned).
