Games – Scout Hunt Bingo

Items Needed

  • Bingo sheets with diverse descriptions in each square (e.g., “Traveled more than 20 minutes to get here,” “Only child,” “Likes spicy food,” or “Didn’t see the last superhero movie”) – Hint, Use a Bingo Card Generator with a list of prompts
  • Pens or markers for each scout
  • (Optional) Small prizes for Bingo winners

Instructions

  1. Hand out Bingo sheets and pens to each scout.
  2. Explain that Scouts need to mingle and talk to others, finding someone who matches the description in a square on their sheet. For example, if a square says, “Traveled more than 20 minutes to get here,” they need to find a scout who did, introduce themselves, and write that scout’s name in the square.
    • Each scout name can only be used to fill one square on a sheet—no repeats.
  3. Scouts try to fill a row, column, or diagonal of squares, just like traditional Bingo.
  4. (Optional) Once a scout completes a Bingo, they come to the leader to verify their sheet and receive a prize.

Variations

  • Adjust the Bingo sheet descriptions to include themes like hobbies, favorite foods, or cultural references based on your group’s interests.
  • Make it a “Blackout Bingo,” where scouts must fill all the squares to win.
