- Scout Oath or Promise printouts (sized to fit the back of the name tags)
- Yarn (pre-cut into 2- to 4-foot sections)
- Scissors

Before the Meeting Starts:
- Prep Supplies. (10–15 min)
- Print enough name tag templates and Scout Oath/Promise printouts for every scout.

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 10–20 min):
- Tag Decorating (5–10 mins):
- Hand out a name tag template to each youth. Youth color their name tags and write their names clearly on the front (assist younger scouts with writing their names if needed).
- Tag Assembly (5–10 mins):
- Youth punch a single hole at the top of their name tag, then glue the Scout Oath or Promise printout to the back of their name tag.
- Thread a piece of pre-cut yarn through the punched hole and tie the ends together to make a necklace. Adult Volunteers may need to assist.
- (Optional) Ask the youth to wear their new name tags for the rest of the meeting so everyone can get to know each other.
