What is this badge about?

Find a courageous example, honor someone, and practice being courageous and strong.


Petal requirements were updated in summer 2022. Many online resources still follow the retired requirements. Troops may continue using the old requirements, but GSUSA prefers that new requirements be used going forward.

Our Summary* of Requirements:

  1. Find an example of courage (character from book/movie/show, OR a woman in the community/world).
  2. Honor courageous and strong people (make medal OR thank you card).
  3. Practice being courageous and strong (try a new outdoor activity, OR learn what to do when they see bullying).
