Replaced Flower Friends as the new petal requirements.

What is this badge about?

Learn about being unique, discover world wide sisterhood, and practice friendship.


Petal requirements were updated in summer 2022. Many online resources still follow the retired requirements. Troops may continue using the old requirements, but GSUSA prefers that new requirements be used going forward.

Our Summary* of Requirements:

  1. Learn why being different from each other is good (make a pipe cleaner bouquet, OR have a mini dance party).
  2. Discover that Girl Scouts/Guides are worldwide (look at pictures from different countries of the world, OR talk to someone who lived in a different country).
  3. Increase your level of Girl Scout sisterhood (play a game together like hot-and-cold, OR talk to a non-scout friend about how fun it is to be a Girl Scout).
