Yes – 2011 Is the current GSUSA badge
These are simply suggestions and may take some creativity and extra steps to earn all the badges in various levels.
A Multi-Level Troop will need to do extra steps when earning different badges across levels. It depends on how many requirements overlap. Some will only have one or two matching requirements.
GSUSA has an Award Log for each level with a comparison table for all badges in similar themes. Not all badges in the same theme have correlating requirements – you basically have to earn two separate badges. We recommend a Fun Patch in that case.
Badges with correlating requirements means you can do an activity that counts towards different badges in the different levels.
Warning
The Trail Adventure badges will have a completely different type of Hiking or Trail Running adventure for each level and cannot be done concurrently with keeping the technical requirements.
Many multi-level troop leaders will pick the adventure that is appropriate for the level of progression of that troop. If that means everyone is doing the Brownie level of the Hiking adventure, that is what the leader accepts. It’s not like you can jump straight into a 2-day backpacking campout if you don’t have the stamina to do a 3 hour hike. But neither should a Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador get credit for the badge for just doing the Daisy level.
Also, if a Cadette earned the badge doing a Junior level requirement, they should accomplish at least a Cadette level requirement when they are a Senior – not repeat the Junior level requirements.
