- Find an food-related issue and speak to an expert (grower, gardener, nutritionist) about how it could be resolved.
- Try one of the methods and see what kind of measurable impact it made.
- Take Action Plan (TAP) – Plan and do a TAP, but it is recommended to expand on what you tried and educate others and create a bigger change than your small part.

Three steps are needed to complete this badge:
- Get your leader print going
- Capture your vision for change in a Harvest Plan that includes
- Your goal, why it matters, how it will benefit both the planet and people.
- Now, create change
- Execute your plan by advocating to influence a food policy or land-use effort, or by educating and inspiring others to act on a solution you identify
