Our Summary* of requirements:
- Make shadows (yourself, a self-made tree) at two different times of day, tracing the shadow with chalk or string each time and then compare the silhouette and outline
- Gather items (leaves, rocks, natural objects) trace or draw them and guess a measurement (length or weight) and then check to see if your guesses were right.
- Choose something (natural object, hand/foot, daisy related item) to become your unit of measure and then measure things around you, estimating before measuring it with your new unit of measure
* – This summary is based off the GSUSA booklet activity choices.
