Released in 2011 and is considered part of the 2011 Girl’s Guide. The Senior page has information on when all badges were released.

Can be earned as a single badge or as part of the Senior Outdoor Journey set. (Journeys retire in Oct 2026.)

What is this badge about?

Try exciting outdoor activity on a two night trip and help at the camp in one way.

Our Summary* of requirements:

  1. Choose your adventure activity and find a location that will offer possibilities for a trip of at least two nights AND enhance your adventure with one activity (research the background of the activity, learn the science behind your activity OR add an extra element to the standard activity plan).
  2. Prepare for the adventure in one activity (learn a new skill, gain a new fitness level, attend a one-day high-adventure course, OR spend a day practicing co-op games).
  3. Make a packing list after talking to an expert or experienced adventurer (expert, sporting-goods employee, OR experienced scout).
  4. Help at camp (maintain a trail, haul out trash, guide a younger scout, help a younger scout earn their camping badge, teach Leave No Trace at camp).
  5. Record your adventure (digital photo series, journal, sketch, field diary, OR video).
