Troop Leader Camp Plan

Fulfills Step 1 of GSUSA Cabin Camper badge requirements.

Items Needed:

  • Troop leader with cabin camping experience
  • (Optional) Paper and pencil for each scout to write or draw something they learned

Instructions (Total Time: 10 minutes):

  1. Quick Camp Experience Talk (3–4 minutes)
    • The troop leader shares one camping memory and one helpful tip for packing or preparing
  2. Ask a Question (4–5 minutes)
    • Each scout asks one question to help plan for their trip
      (Examples: “What was your favorite thing at camp?” or “What gear helped the most?”)
  3. Reflect as a Troop (1–2 minutes)
    • Scouts, as a group, share one idea they learned or one thing they want to bring based on the answers
