Scout-inspired resources made with love and offered to support our mission.
The Badge Archive was built to help leaders, families, and scouts find meaningful, inclusive, and easy-to-use badge activities. The core of The Badge Archive is providing free resources on our website. But we also have a small storefront on Teachers Pay Teachers where you can purchase ready-to-print resources that support our work.
Why We’re Here
Teachers Pay Teachers is a platform where educators share and sell their original content. Ms. Tia, the founder of The Badge Archive, is a longtime scout leader, professional tutor, and former coding school instructor. She qualifies as a teacher, but she’s always struggled with charging for her work. Not because it isn’t valuable, but because she believes deeply in giving leaders the tools they need without financial barriers.
Still, The Badge Archive isn’t free to maintain. Hosting, design tools, and content creation programs add up quickly (see our Support Page for full details). Ms. Tia was able to dedicate time to this project while on medical leave, and it became a form of occupational therapy during recovery. But now that she’s well enough to try part-time work, her energy and time are limited and our family finances need her to shift focus. (The original Badge Archive Team is our family of three.)
We’re doing everything we can to keep The Badge Archive going. That includes opening our Teachers Pay Teachers store, hosting a vendor table this November, and continuing to offer free versions of our meeting plans on our website.
What You’ll Find
Our Teachers Pay Teachers store features print-and-play versions of our meeting plans. These include:
- 2025 World Thinking Day Escape Room
Created by Scout K (took as many hours as a Silver Award project). - Daisy Coding Basics: Ada Lovelace Edition
Learn basic coding concepts through storytelling and hands-on activities. - Brownie Coding Basics: Grace Hopper Edition
Marching meets logic in this unique plan (soon to be updated to include Junior-level requirements and a Brownie Celebrating Communities option.)
Coming soon:
- Printable sticker sheets (use with address labels!)
- Festival of Nations trifold display kits
- Body Image badge activity plans (on hold until after Ms. Tia’s temp job ends Nov. 14)
Each Teachers Pay Teachers product includes the full meeting plan, printable resources, and minimal supply gathering. For those who prefer to DIY, the free version of each plan is available on our website, with instructions and a materials list, but without the ready-to-print extras.
Why It Matters
Every purchase helps us cover the costs of running The Badge Archive and keeps our resources ad-free and accessible. Ms. Tia doesn’t need much, just enough to avoid pushing herself too hard in a part-time job while continuing to create and support leaders.
She’s already an exclusive designer for Urban Elementz (any quilters can know those purchases also help keep The Badge Archive running), and we’re hopeful that with a little help from our community, she can keep doing what she loves: making scouting easier, more inclusive, and more joyful for everyone.
Thank You
We’re offering tools that save you time, spark creativity, and support a mission built on heart. Whether you buy a plan, Donate on PayPal, or simply share our work, you’re helping The Badge Archive stay alive and grow.
Thank you for being part of this journey. 💛
