Items Needed:
- None (just your hands!)
Instructions:
- Prepare: Open one hand with your fingers outstretched and palm facing you. Your pointer finger on your other hand will act like a pencil to trace your open hand.
- Start at the Thumb: Place your pointer finger at the bottom of your thumb.
- Breathe In: As you slide your pointer finger to the top of your thumb, breathe in slowly through your nose.
- Pause: When your pointer finger reaches the top of your thumb, pause and hold your breath for a moment.
- Breathe Out: Slide your pointer finger down the other side of your thumb while breathing out slowly through your mouth.
- Repeat for All Fingers: Continue this process for each finger on your hand, moving to the next finger after completing one.
- Reflect: When finished, pause and think about how you feel. If you’re still feeling stressed or anxious, repeat the activity to take another five breaths.
