Info Needed: Practice comic storytelling by turning everyday moments, familiar scenes, or original ideas into short visual narratives.
Items Needed:
- Storyboard Sheet for each scout or small group
- Writing utensils
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 20 min):
- Work individually or in small groups to come up with a comic story. (5 min)
- Scouts choose a simple idea they want to turn into a comic.
- (Optional) Leader can offer prompts like “a surprise,” “a challenge,” or “a funny moment.”
- Use the storyboard sheet to plan the story scene by scene. (15 min)
- Each box is for one scene. Scouts write what happens below the box.
- Scouts sketch a rough idea of the scene inside the box.
- (Optional) Scouts can use extra sheets if their story needs more scenes.
