- (Optional) Comfy seating like pillows or yoga mats
- (Optional) Nail polish, lotion, coloring supplies, or simple spa materials brought by scouts or supplemented by leaders
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 30–40 min):
- Plan the self-care event. (Estimated Time: 5–10 min)
- Scouts briefly discuss what wellness activities they want to include.
- Consider quiet options (coloring, journaling) and social ones (nail painting, guided breathing).
- Decide where and when the event will happen (during meeting or outside of it).
- Set up a calming space. (Estimated Time: 5–7 min)
- Play soft music.
- Arrange cushions or mats.
- Lay out optional supplies for selected activities.
- Participate in self-care time. (Estimated Time: 15–20 min)
- Scouts choose how they want to relax or recharge.
- Activities may be done quietly or in small groups.
- Encourage calm, comfort, and fun.
- Reflect and record thoughts. (Estimated Time: 5–7 min)
- Scouts journal how they felt during and after the session.
- Note favorite activities and anything they’d like to do again.
