Items Needed
- Printable certificate templates (available online or create your own)
- Badges earned by scouts
- Pins earned by scouts (optional)
- Printer and paper (preferably cardstock for durability)
- Tape, adhesive, or safety pins for attaching badges
- Markers or pens (for personalization)
- (Optional) Plastic protective sleeves
Instructions
- Choose a certificate template that fits the theme of your troop or event. Include spaces for the scout’s name, troop number, and a list of badges earned. Print the certificates on sturdy paper or cardstock to ensure they hold up well when badges are attached.
- Use markers or pens to personalize each certificate with the scout’s name and other details, such as the date or event title.
- Attach the earned badges to the certificate using tape, adhesive, or safety pins. Arrange them neatly, ensuring they don’t cover the text.
- (Optional) If scouts have earned pins, attach them to the certificate or include them in a small envelope for presentation.
- (Optional) Place certificates with attached badges inside a plastic protective sleeve to help preserve the paper and keep all the badges attached during transport to the meeting space.
- Hand out the certificates during a meeting or ceremony, acknowledging the scout’s accomplishments as they receive their personalized award.
