Info Needed: Scouts celebrate what their bodies help them do by sharing a physical talent or skill. This can be fun, serious, silly, or surprising.
Items Needed:
- Any item the scout brought with them (if needed for their skill)
- Open space to perform safely
- (Optional) Blank paper and pencil or crayons for reflection
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 30–40 minutes):
- Prepare and Practice (10–12 minutes)
- Scout chooses a physical skill to share.
- Examples: jumping rope, balancing, singing, spinning, making silly faces, doing a hand trick.
- They practice quietly in their own space to get ready.
- (Optional) Scouts can use items they brought to help show their skill.
- Scout chooses a physical skill to share.
- Share the Skill (10–15 minutes)
- One at a time, scouts take turns demonstrating their physical talent.
- Scouts may watch, cheer, or clap for each other.
- (Optional) If a scout chooses not to share, they can be part of the audience or help organize the space.
- Reflect and Celebrate (10–13 minutes)
- Scout thinks about how their body helped them perform their skill.
- (Optional) They draw a picture or write a sentence about what their body did well.
- (Optional) Share with the group or a caregiver: What body part was most helpful? What felt fun or challenging?
