Fulfills Steps 4 and 5 of GSUSA Brownie Automotive Design badge requirements.

Items Needed:

• Printable paper vehicle template for each scout
  • Alternate design available here.
  • Paper Car from The Purple Yarn Crafts shows video for assembly.
• Scissors
• Tape or glue
• Markers, crayons, or colored pencils

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 20-30 minutes):

1. Step 1: Design the Vehicle (10-15 minutes)
   • Scouts color and decorate their paper template to match their design idea.
   • They add details like headlights, windows, or special features based on their design criteria.
2. Step 2: Cut & Assemble (10–15 minutes)
   • Carefully cut out the template along the edges.
   • Fold and attach the pieces using tape or glue to create a 3D model.

Bonus Challenge:

• Try designing a specialized vehicle with unique features.
• Add extra paper parts for details like wings or cargo space.
