• IF created about a specific topic and focus on using a pattern
• Fulfills Step 3 of GSUSA Daisy Art and Design badge requirements.
• Fulfills Steps 2, 3, and 4 of GSUSA Brownie Art and Design badge requirements.
• Fulfills Steps 2 and 3 of GSUSA Junior Art and Design badge requirements.

Items Needed:

• Pencil or marker for each scout
• Different colored paper
• Glue
• Option 1 – Scissors for each scout to cut their own small squares
• Option 2 – Pre-cut the colored paper into small squares, ready to be glued

Instructions:

• Each scout draws their design on paper, like a heart or a star.
• Cut colored paper into small strips and then into squares or other shapes (or have pre-cut small squares of different colors).
• Glue the squares or shapes onto your drawing, starting from the edges, using different colors to color in different parts of your drawing.
• Let the glue dry. Then add details with a pen or marker if you want.
