Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 20–30 min):
- Explore Basic Meditation Techniques (Estimated Time: 5–10 min)
- Scouts use a device to research or watch short online videos about beginner-friendly meditation. (See Options Below).
- They focus on understanding how to gently shift attention to breath, sounds, and surroundings.
- Try Outdoor or Nature-Enhanced Meditation (Estimated Time: 10–15 min)
- Scouts go outdoors to sit or stand quietly in nature.
- They practice focusing on what they hear, smell, feel, or see in that moment.
- (Optional) If outdoor access isn’t available, scouts meditate indoors near a window, in sunlight, with fresh air, or with recorded nature sounds.
- Reflect on the Experience (Estimated Time: 5 min)
- Scouts consider how they felt before, during, and after their meditation time.
