Instructions (Total Time: 30 minutes)
- Learn from a Camper (10–12 minutes)
- A guest speaker shares tips, gear advice, and fun stories from cabin camping
- Scouts listen and ask questions about what to bring, what to expect, and how to have fun
- Ask Questions (10–12 minutes)
- Scouts take turns asking the camper questions like:
- What should we pack?
- What do you do at camp?
- What surprised you the first time you went?
- (Optional) Scouts write or draw one new thing they learned
- Scouts take turns asking the camper questions like:
- Respect Nature (5–6 minutes)
- Scouts read or talk about the Leave No Trace guidelines
- Discuss how to take care of the outdoors while camping
