Media and Technology Quiz

Answer the 5 questions:

1. Someone asks you how many text messages you received today. You respond:

2. When taking a trip, you:

  1. Spend your time people-watching and chatting with your companions.
  2. Put your cell phone on “vibrate” and take a book along for the ride.

    • Answer 1 earns 1 point.
    • Answer 2 earns 2 points.
    • Answer 3 earns 3 points.
  • Add up the points from all five questions.

Total Score and Interpretation:

  • 5–7 points: You prefer the real world! You enjoy spending time offline and focusing on real-life experiences.
  • 8–12 points: You live in moderation. You have a healthy balance between media use and other activities.
  • 13–15 points: You are dangerously close to developing an addiction. It might be time to reflect on your media habits and consider making some changes to avoid overdependence.
