How It Works:
Begin with a pledge—commit to completing enough Eco-Difference projects to fill the outer ring of your patch. Scouts can choose from various activities that focus on conservation, sustainability, and helping the planet.
Each project falls under a specific theme, and completing projects within a theme earns you a corresponding patch segment. Whether it’s conserving resources, helping animals, or exploring nature, there’s a way for every troop to contribute!

Start with a Pledge!
Make a pledge to do enough Eco-Difference projects that fill up the outside of your center patch.
- Create your own, or use our Eco-Difference Pledge.
- Buy your center patch.
- Note – GSSNE Environmental Climate Awareness Patch has a unique center patch but uses the same segments from Advantage Emblem. It does not have any known requirements so could also be used for Make an Eco-Difference!
Projects
Advantage Emblem has a large range of Segments you can look through and pick one that is appropriate to any Eco-Difference project your troop comes up with. Typically, troops can fit 12 segments around the 2″ center patches.
