Make a Sensory Bottle

Items Needed:

  • Clear plastic bottle with lid
  • Water
  • Glitter
  • Small beads or buttons
  • (Optional) Food coloring
  • (Optional) Small plastic charms or confetti
  • (Optional) Glue to seal the lid

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 15 min):

  1. Fill the plastic bottle about three-quarters full with water. (3 min)
    • (Optional) Add a few drops of food coloring to tint the water.
  2. Add glitter, beads, and small objects to the bottle. (4 min)
    • Use a mix of colors and sizes to make it interesting.
  3. Screw the lid on tightly. (2 min)
    • (Optional) Use glue to seal the lid so it doesn’t open during use.
  4. Shake the bottle and watch the items swirl and settle. (3 min)
  5. (Optional) Decorate the outside of the bottle with stickers or tape. (3 min)
