- Bamboo tubes, paper straws, or drilled holes
- Glue or tape

- (Optional) String or wire for hanging
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 30–40 min):
- Prepare the container or wood block for the bee hotel. (5–10 min)
- Use a small box, can, or block of wood.
- Make sure it is clean and dry.
- Fill the space with bamboo tubes or other nesting materials. (10–15 min)
- Cut tubes or straws to fit snugly.
- Pack them tightly so they don’t fall out.
- Decorate the outside of the bee hotel. (5–10 min)
- Use paint, markers, or natural items.
- Keep the entrance area clear.
- Choose a safe outdoor spot to place or hang the bee hotel. (5 min)
- Find a sunny, dry location about 3–5 feet off the ground.
- Face the opening away from strong wind or rain.
