Info Needed for Mind, Body, Me: Mindfulness helps scouts notice what’s going on in their body and mind in the present moment. It can improve well-being and help them respond to stress or discomfort more thoughtfully.
Items Needed:
- Yoga mats or towels
- (Optional) Computer, smartphone, or tablet to play a laughter yoga video
- (Optional) Pen and paper for drawing
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 15–40 minutes):
- Get Ready to Move and Laugh (5–7 minutes)
- Scout sets up their mat or towel in a space where they can move safely
- They make sure the video or adult-led activity is ready to begin
- Try Laughter Yoga (5–20 minutes)
- Scout follows a video or leader through simple breathing, stretching, and laughter-based movement
- Movements may include reaching, bending, clapping, or playful gestures
- Laughter can be quiet giggles, deep belly laughs, or pretend laughs to start

- Cool Down and Reflect (5–10 minutes)
