Items Needed:
- None, unless scouts are presenting an item, prototype, or drawing they created earlier
- (Optional) – Brownie Getting Feedback Form by GSUSA
- (Optional) – Junior How to Get Feedback by GSUSA
Instructions (Estimated Time: 20 minutes or 10 minutes per round):
- Pair Up for Peer Review (1–2 minutes)
- Scouts pair off or form small teams of 2–3 (teams take more time as each round is approximately 10 minutes).
- One scout is the presenter, and the other(s) act as the target audience (e.g., a younger scout or the app’s intended user).
- Presentation Round (3 minutes per scout)
- Presenting scout shows or explains their idea, including what it does, how it looks, and who it’s for.
- Give Constructive Feedback (2 minutes)
- Listening scout gives 3 thoughtful ideas for improvement, big or small (even “I wish the background was blue” counts!).
- Encourage kind, helpful suggestions.
- Decide on a Change (2–3 minutes)
- The presenting scout chooses one improvement they would make if they did the project again.
- If time allows, they can sketch or describe what that improvement would look like.
- Switch Roles and Repeat
- Each scout takes a turn as presenter and listener.
