Holiday – World Thinking Day

🌍✨ Celebrate World Thinking Day with Scouts! ✨🌍

February 22nd is a day for Scouts and Guides worldwide to come together, reflect, and take action for a better world.

Earn the World Thinking Day Badge

Festival of Nations

Since 2019, GSUSA no longer allows troops to learn about another culture to earn the officially annually released badge. Many troops still participate in Festival of Nation type events to celebrate World Thinking Day as a Holiday.

A Festival of Nations is an event where each troop brings a display of a different country or culture they researched. Troops go to each display, or booth, and learn about the different countries or cultures during the event.

Other Ways to Celebrate

1️⃣ Explore Cultures: Choose a country to represent and dive into its traditions through food, crafts, and games. Share your discoveries with your troop!

2️⃣ Take Action: Focus on this year’s theme and organize a project to make a positive impact in your community or beyond, like the Ambassador level Cards for a Cause

3️⃣ Global Connections: Host a virtual or in-person event to connect with Scouts from other countries. Share stories, songs, and experiences.

4️⃣ Creative Expressions: Write a poem, create art, or perform a skit inspired by the values of the Scout movement.

5️⃣ Learn and Reflect: Invite a guest speaker with a global perspective or watch a documentary about global issues affecting young people.

Let’s honor the global sisterhood and brotherhood of Scouts and Guides. Together, we can make a difference! 🌟💚 #WorldThinkingDay #ScoutsUnite #GlobalFriendship
