- They think through what they want to say for each part of the pitch.
- Encourage scouts to keep their pitch under one minute to stay on schedule.
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 35–50 minutes):
- Greet the Guest or Host (2–3 minutes)
- If on a field trip, scouts thank the host for having them.
- If a guest came to the meeting, scouts welcome them and let them know they’ll be pitching their ideas.
- Present the Pitches (24–40 minutes total; allow 3–5 minutes per scout)
- One at a time, scouts share their pitch with the guest(s).
- After each pitch, the guest gives one or two friendly thoughts—something they liked and one idea to make it better.
- Scouts jot down the feedback on their notecard or paper while the next scout gets ready.
- Group applauds after each presentation to celebrate each effort.
- Thank the Guest or Host (2–3 minutes)
- Scouts say thank you and, if prepared, give a card or special message as a group.
