Fulfills Step 3 of GSUSA Brownie Girl Scout Way badge requirements.
Items Needed
- Girl Scout Promise and Law Printable from GSUSA (one for each scout).
- Paper (one sheet per scout).
- Pens or pencils.
Instructions
- Give each scout a copy of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Provide each scout with paper and a pen or pencil.
- Talk about how sisterhood isn’t just about family—it includes those who share values and interests, like scouts working together to make the world a better place. Explain how the Girl Scout Law outlines how scouts show respect and kindness toward others and the world. Ask scouts to reflect on their favorite line from the Girl Scout Law and why it’s meaningful to them.
- Ask scouts to use their favorite line from the Girl Scout Law as inspiration to create a story, play, or puppet show. Suggest that they share a moment when they lived out the values of the Girl Scout Law, like being considerate and caring or helping make the world a better place.
- After creating their stories, plays, or puppet shows (ideas only, not prototype), scouts take turns presenting their work to the troop.
