- Junior How to Get Feedback by GSUSA (one per scout)
- Pencil or crayon for each scout
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 20–25 minutes):
- Step 1: Introduce Feedback (3–4 minutes)
- Explain that feedback is when someone shares ideas to help make something better.
- Step 2: Prepare to Share (2–3 minutes)
- Give each scout a Getting Feedback handout and have them think about the questions and how they will answer when asked.
- Step 3: Present to the Group (6–8 minutes)
- One at a time, scouts stand or sit in front of the group and explain their idea using the questions from the handout:
- What is your idea?
- What does it do?
- Who is it for?

- Step 4: Give Kind Feedback (5–6 minutes)
- After each presentation, ask the group to share three helpful thoughts:
- One thing they like
- One thing they would change
- Whether they would use or buy the idea
- Scouts write this feedback in the last section of their handout.

- Scouts choose one change they’d like to make to improve their idea. They can write or draw it on the back of the handout.
