Grace Hopper Timeline Cards

Fulfills Steps 1 and 4 of GSUSA Brownie Coding Basics badge requirements.

Info Needed for Step 1 of badge requirements: An algorithm is a program to do something step by step. Sequence is the order those steps are done in. Sometimes it wouldn’t matter, like when you put your pants and shirt on. You could do it in any order. Sometimes it does matter, like if you tried to put peanut button on a sandwich after you already put the two slices of bread together. We can make a sequence with Grace Hopper’s life! She was a clever 7 year old before she built her first computer as an adult. Sequencing matters.

Infor Needed for Step 4 of badge requirements: Tell the story of Grace Hopper.
