Getting-to-Know-You Games

These are a list of Games that require movement while getting to know each other:

  • Action Syllables: Scouts clap out the syllables of words while performing matching actions.
  • Common Ground: Scouts find shared traits or interests to build connections.
  • Emoji Faces (Pen and Paper): Scouts guess emotions using emoji-style drawings.
  • Find Someone (Pen and Paper): A scavenger hunt-style game where Scouts find the other scout whose card they received.
  • Guess Who? (Airplane Variant): Scouts guess which Scout it is based off four answers to common questions.
  • Craft: Lifelines (Pen and Paper): Scouts create visual representations of key milestones in their lives.
  • Line-Up – Team Building: Teams work together to organize themselves based on specific traits or criteria.
  • My Scouts Who: Scouts identify with specific traits or experiences in a group activity.
  • Name Toss (Ball): Scouts learn each other’s names by tossing a ball in sequence.
  • Scout Hunt Bingo: A bingo-style game where Scouts find items or complete tasks on a list.
  • Secret Identity (Pen and Paper): Scouts guess their own label identity based on asking other’s questions.
  • Signatures – Team Building (Pen and Paper): Scouts collect signatures from others who meet certain fun criteria.
  • Sit Down If / A Great Wind Blows: Scouts stand or sit based on shared traits or experiences.
  • Squares of Paper: Scout share the same number of facts about themselves as the number of squares they take.
  • Whomp ‘Em: A fast-paced game where Scouts race to tag each other with a soft object in a circle.
  • Who’s Who (Pen and Paper): Scouts guess which of the three called up scouts are telling the truth.
