Games – Would You Rather

Game also called This or That.

Items Needed

  • None (just the group and their creativity!)
  • (Optional) – A list of questions prepared – like this one

Instructions

  1. Gather all Scouts into a group.
  2. The leader or a Scout asks a “Would you rather” question, offering two options (e.g., “Would you rather fly or be invisible?”).
  3. Each Scout chooses one option and may explain their choice, though explanations are not required. If you allow explanations, make sure they keep it short to just one or two sentences.
    • Scouts must pick one option—no skipping or saying “neither!”
  4. Take turns asking questions so everyone has a chance to participate.

Variations

  • Add themes (e.g., food, adventure, animals) to focus the questions.
  • Use a timer for quick responses to keep the game moving.
  • Let the group vote to see which option is the most popular.
