Games – What Are You Doing?

Items Needed

  • None (just the group and their creativity!)

Instructions

  • Two Scouts step into an open space dedicated to be the stage, with one starting an action (e.g., brushing their teeth).
  • The second Scout asks, “What are you doing?”
  • The first Scout responds with a different action (e.g., “I’m jump roping”).
  • The second Scout begins performing the new action while the first Scout leaves the stage.
  • As the second Scout continues the action (e.g., jump roping), a new Scout steps onto the stage and asks, “What are you doing?”
  • The current Scout replies with another different action (e.g., “I’m acting like a monkey”), which the new Scout then performs.
  • The game continues as each new Scout asks and takes on a new action.

Variations

Your Turn: Each Scout performs an action of their choice (e.g., brushing teeth, running in place) for a few seconds. When the next Scout steps onto the stage, the previous Scout says, “Your turn!” and passes the action along (e.g., “I’m running in place”). The new Scout mimics that action for a few seconds and then swap it for a new one. The next Scout joins, repeats the current action, and so on, keeping the momentum going.
