Items Needed
- None (just the group and their creativity!)

Instructions
- Scouts sit in a circle. Everyone will need to do this without laughing—though it’s almost impossible!
- The first scouts says “Ha!”
- The next scout in the circle repeats the “Ha!” and adds another, saying “Ha! Ha!”
- The third scout continues, repeating the previous “Ha!”s and adding one more, saying “Ha! Ha! Ha!”
- This pattern continues around the circle, with each scout repeating all the “Ha!”s said so far and adding one more – with no one allowed to laugh.
- The challenge ends once the last scout has said the correct number of “Ha!”s without laughing (or the group dissolves into laughter and you need to restart).
Variations
See a similar game called Solemn and Silent / I’m Sorry Baby, I Just Can’t Smile
- Reverse Order: Once the circle is complete, start back around in reverse order, reducing the number of “Ha!”s with each turn.
- Speed Round: Add a timer to see how fast the group can go around the circle while still saying the correct number of “Ha!”s.
- Silent Ha!: Instead of saying “Ha!”, scouts mime the action while keeping eye contact with others in the circle.
