Games – Steal the Bacon

Items Needed

  • A towel or another soft item
  • At least 10 Scouts to play.

Instructions

  1. Divide Scouts into two teams.
  2. Assign numbers to each Scout on both teams (e.g., each team has a #1, #2, #3, etc.).
  3. Have teams line up in order on opposite sides of the room, facing the center.
  4. Place the towel or soft item in the center of the room between the teams.
  5. Call out a number (e.g., “#3”). Scouts with the called number from each team run to the center to “steal the bacon” (grab the towel).
  6. The Scout who grabs the “bacon” and runs back to their team. The Scout that did not get the “bacon” can attempt to tag the scout with the “bacon”. If the Scout with the “bacon” reaches their team, without being tagged, that team earns a point. If the Scout is tagged, the game resumes with no points earned. Note – Remove tagging and point rules for younger Scouts if needed.
  7. Continue calling numbers and playing rounds.
