Items Needed
- A soft ball or stuffed animal (ensure the object is safe for throwing)
Safety Note:
- Always use a soft ball or stuffed animal to prevent injuries.
Instructions
- Each Scout chooses a unique number at the start of the game.
- One Scout throws the ball in the air and calls out a number.
- The Scout whose number is called catches the ball, or retrieves it if it lands on the ground, and immediately yells “Freeze.”
- The Scout holding the ball takes three steps toward another Scout and throws the ball underarm, aiming at them.
- If the throw hits the other Scout, the Scout hit gets a letter (starting with “S”).
- If the throw misses, the thrower gets a letter instead.
- Repeat the process. Each mistake (missed throw or being hit) earns a letter until a Scout spells “SPUD.”
- The game can end when one Scout spells “SPUD,” or you can restart for more rounds.
