Items Needed
- Small pieces of paper (one per scout)
- Pens or markers (one per scout)
- Safety pins, tape, or stickers to attach the papers to scouts’ backs (Note, post-it notes usually fall off before the activity is over.)

Instructions
- Give each scout a piece of paper and a pen, and have them write the name of a famous person on it.
- Once everyone has written a name, collect the papers.
- Pin, tape, or stick the paper to another scout’s back without letting them see it.
- Scouts walk around and ask others yes/no questions to figure out the name on their back (e.g., “Am I alive?” or “Am I an athlete?”).
- Scouts keep asking questions until they guess the name correctly.
Variations
- Limit Questions: Scouts can only ask yes/no questions when trying to find their person.
- Partner Up: Have matching labels like “Peanut Butter” and “Jelly” or opposites like “Up” and “Down”. Scouts not only have to find who they are, but find their match.
- Picture Match: Cut pictures from magazines into halves. Pin one half of each picture to a scout’s back without letting them see it. Each scout must ask yes/no questions about the details of their picture (e.g., “Is it colorful?” “Is it a car?”) to identify what it is. Once they figure it out, they must search the group to find the scout with the matching half.
Use different themes instead of famous people:
- Famous Places: Write famous places instead of famous people. Scouts ask yes or no questions like, “Is this place in Europe?” or “Is it a natural landmark?”
- Objects: Write common objects (e.g., toothbrush, bicycle, kite) for scouts to guess.
- Animals: Use animals (e.g., panda, eagle, dolphin) as the theme.
- Jobs/Professions: Write down professions (e.g., firefighter, artist, astronaut) for scouts to guess.
- Characters from Stories or Cartoons: Use well-known fictional characters (e.g., Cinderella, Spider-Man, Pikachu).
- Food Items: Write favorite foods (e.g., pizza, sushi, ice cream) for a tasty twist.
