Games – Progressive Art

Fulfills Step 2 of GSUSA Daisy Petal – Considerate and Caring badge requirements.

Items Needed

  • Paper
  • Drawing utensils (e.g., crayons, markers, pencils)
  • Bell, timer, or other sound cue

Instructions

  1. Give each scout a piece of paper and drawing utensils to start their artwork.
  2. Scouts begin drawing a picture, design, or abstract creation on their paper.
  3. Every 2-4 minutes, ring a bell or make a sound to signal the scouts to pass their paper to the person next to them.
  4. When receiving a new paper, each scout adds their own creative touch to the existing drawing before the next switch.
  5. Repeat the switching and drawing until each paper has been passed around to several scouts.
  6. At the end, scouts reveal the final collaborative artworks and admire how everyone contributed to the progressive art.
