Items Needed
- A tray or flat surface
- 15-20 small objects (e.g., a pencil, coin, button, etc.)
- A cloth or towel to cover the tray
- Paper and pens for each Scout
Instructions
- Arrange the objects on the tray and allow Scouts to observe them for 30-60 seconds.
- Cover the tray with the cloth and remove it from view.
- Scouts write down as many items as they can remember.
- Reveal the tray and compare their lists to the actual objects.
- The Scout with the most correct items wins the round.
Variations
- Timed Observation: Reduce the observation time for added difficulty.
- Object Removal: Remove one item while the tray is covered and ask Scouts to identify the missing object.
- Team Play: Divide Scouts into teams to collaborate on their lists.
