Items Needed
- A small object to hide

Instructions
- Choose one scout to be the “hunter” and have them leave the room or area.
- The group hides the small object somewhere in the designated play area.
- Call the hunter back into the room and have them search for the hidden object.
- The group provides hints by chanting:
- Say “colder” if the hunter is far away and moving farther. Use “freezing” or “icy” for extreme distance.
- Say “hotter” if the hunter is moving closer to the object. Use “burning” or “scorching” when the hunter is very close.
- Once the hunter finds the object, celebrate and choose a new hunter for the next round.
Variations
- Singing: Instead of chanting, the group chooses a song and sings louder as the hunter gets closer to the object and softer as they move farther away.
