Games – Honest Tag

Fulfills Step 1 of GSUSA Daisy Petal – Honest and Fair badge requirements.

Items Needed

  • Open space for tag
  • (Optional) Markers for a “Safe Spot”

Instructions

  1. Introduce Honesty – Explain that being honest means telling the truth and being trustworthy.
  2. Explain Tag Rules:
    • Pick who will be “it.”
    • “It” chases others to tag them by touching them.
    • Players can rest in the “Safe Spot” if one is set.
  3. Play Round One – Tagged players must say “out” and leave the game immediately. Leaders help call out players if necessary.
  4. Play Round Two – Tagged players quietly leave the game on their own using the honor system.
  5. Discuss – After both rounds, discuss which round was easier or harder for staying honest.
