Items Needed
- None (just the group and their creativity!)

Instructions
- Scouts sit in a circle. Adult volunteer picks one scout to be the “detective” and have them leave the room or turn away so they can’t see or hear.
- The adult volunteer silently selects one scout to be “it.” Everyone in the circle knows who “it” is but must keep it a secret from the detective.
- The scout chosen as “it” begins performing an action, such as clapping, waving, or tapping their legs. The rest of the group copies “it” so the detective cannot easily figure out who started the action.
- Call the detective back into the room. The detective stands in the center of the circle and has three chances to guess who “it” is.
- Every few seconds, “it” changes the action, and the group follows along. Scouts should avoid being too obvious about watching “it” for the next action.
- Whether the detective guesses correctly or not, the detective and “it” switch roles, and a new round begins. Continue until everyone has had a turn as both the detective and “it.”
Variations
A slightly different game called Froggie Detective is similar but sillier.
- Timed Rounds: Set a time limit for each round to add excitement. The detective must guess who “it” is within the time frame.
- Double Leader: Add a second “it” to make the game trickier for the detective. The two leaders alternate actions, and the group must follow both.
- Silent Mode: Play without calling the detective back into the room. “It” simply starts the action, and the detective must figure out who they are without the verbal cue.
