Games – Buzz

Items Needed

  • None (just the group and their creativity!)

Instructions

  1. Have the Scouts sit in a circle, and select a leader to start the game.
  2. The leader picks a number (commonly 7) that will be replaced by the word “Buzz.”
  3. The leader begins by saying “1.” The next Scout in the circle says “2,” and so on.
  4. Any number containing the chosen number (e.g., 7, 17) or divisible by it (e.g., 14, 21) must be replaced with “Buzz.”
  5. If a Scout takes too long or says the wrong thing (forgetting “Buzz” or saying a number instead), they are out for the round.
  6. The game continues until one Scout remains, or restart the game as desired.

Variations

  • For younger Scouts, use an easier number like 5 instead of 7.
  • Add complexity by using two numbers, such as 5 and 7. Replace 5 with “Bizz” and 7 with “Buzz.”
