Items Needed
- A large, open space for safe movement

Instructions
- Pair scouts up with someone of approximately equal height and weight if possible.
- Partners stand back-to-back and lock arms securely. Their arms must remain locked throughout the activity. Instruct pairs to sit down on the ground together, extending their legs straight out in front of them.
- Once seated, the pair works together to stand back up without releasing their arms. This requires coordination, communication, and teamwork.
- After pairs complete the challenge, combine them into groups of four and repeat the activity. Each larger group must lock arms and attempt to sit down and stand back up together.
- Gradually increase the group size to eight, sixteen, or even the entire group, challenging scouts to work as a team to achieve the sit-and-stand together.
Variations
- Timed Challenge: Introduce a timer and see which pairs or groups can complete the challenge the fastest.
- Formations: Experiment with group formations, such as circles or lines, to add variety and complexity to the activity.
- Silent Mode: Add an extra challenge by asking scouts to complete the activity without speaking, relying solely on non-verbal communication.
