Games – Action Syllables

Items Needed

  • None (just the group and their creativity!)

Instructions

  1. Have the group stand in a circle.
  2. Each participant chooses an action for every syllable of their name.
    • Example: For “Elvis,” he could do a “hi shake” for “El” and snap his fingers for “vis.”
  3. The participant performs their chosen actions while saying their name aloud.
  4. The entire group repeats the name and actions together.
  5. Move to the next participant. After they perform their name and actions, the group repeats them, then also repeats the previous participant’s name and actions (e.g., Elvis).
  6. Continue until everyone has had a turn and the group has learned all the names and actions!
